Perfume Magazine Brand Consultant: Tim Girvin
Our logo was created by GIRVIN | Strategic Branding, based in Seattle, NYC, and Tokyo. This is a specially built font that their design team created exclusively for Perfume Magazine. It is a custom cutting, redrawn and founded on a type design originated in 1798 by Giambattista Bodoni, drawn from the archives of Firmin Didot, an exemplar of luxurious design principles for hundreds of years. GIRVIN's team built the "fume" trail, as well as composited the arrangement of the bottles as part of the branding strategy.

The Perfume Magazine.com is the ultimate online fragrance journal. The Perfume Magazine offers a diverse assortment of content ranging from interviews and fragrance profiles, to feature articles on perfume and the fragrance industry and delivers it to an international audience. Through the words of our journalists and their passion, creativity, and love of fragrance, we present the world of perfume in its most tantalizing form. Our mission is to celebrate, educate and illuminate the many incredible facets of perfumery and the fragrance industry.
Under the direction and dedication of Editor-in-Chief Raphaella Barkley, The Perfume Magazine has been read by tens of thousands of people in over 190 countries around the world in just a few short months since its launch in September 2011. Barkley’s previous magazine garnered four TOP-5 Finalists in the category of Editorial Excellence in Fragrance Coverage, Blog for the American Fragrance Foundation’s prestigious FiFi Awards in 2009 and 2010. For her latest venture, Barkley has set her sights on a new publication that is bigger and better with a larger reach and increased interactivity. The Perfume Magazine (formerly Sniffapalooza Magazine) reaches unique visitors monthly from 190 countries and was the first ever online magazine/blog in history to earn four FiFi Top Five Finalist for Editorial Excellence Awards.
Barkley has assembled an International team of passionate and talented journalists who recognize the value of writing ethically about perfume and who all share in The Perfume Magazine's positive and all-inclusive attitude. We strive for work of the highest caliber. Our contributors come to us from many countries around the world including the United States, Great Britain, Australia, Italy, Brazil, France, and Canada, with city correspondents in New York City and London. Many of our contributors are internationally published writers; several have been recognized as Top-5 FiFi Award Finalists; and all are inspired to deliver something unique and unexpected to keep our readers coming back for more. These men and women are professionals in their respected fields or in the fragrance industry who all share one common interest - Perfume.
Barkley is joined by her Managing Editor, Mark David Boberick, himself a 2010 FiFi Finalist, and an internationally published journalist. Barkley and Boberick work closely to maintain that each published issue is a work of relevance, fascination, passion, and education.
