Gold Man & Gold Woman
Amouage

Gold. The first, and finest gift of the Magi – and one of the most luxurious products of Mother Earth. Reserved for royalty in ancient times and still a symbol of wealth and power, today, Gold is the ultimate. Gold is King.

The Omani Perfume house, Amouage, produces some of the most luxurious and valuable fragrances in the world. The luxury liners in its fleet of men’s and women’s fragrances, Gold Man and Gold Woman are a tough duo to beat in terms of refinement and esteem. Gold Man embraces a distinct and opulent floral heart which is cradled in a precious base of the finest quality woods propelled by the addition of the animalic note of civet.

Gold Woman was created by the incomparable French perfumer Guy Robert who has called the fragrance the “crowning glory” of his career. This masterful blend of over 120 ingredients is a power-house, no-holds –barred, spectacle of perfection that leaves its wearer scrambling for the family tree to double-check for Royal lineage.

Gold Man –  $265 | 50 ml.    $310 | 100 ml.

Gold Woman - $285 | 50 ml.    $325 | 100 ml.

Oliban
Keiko Mecheri

From the Latin name for Frankincense, Olibanum – Keiko Mecheri’s spicy incense fragrance is a knock-out on multiple levels. The star is of course, the second gift of the Magi, frankincense. This aromatic resin from the Boswellia tree has been used for fragrant purposes for more than 5000 years. Frankincense comes from the southeast portion of the Arabian Peninsula, presently occupied by the Sultanate of Oman. In ancient times, the journey to acquire the rare and precious resin was arduous, lengthy, and dangerous which only added to its value.

Oliban is a tapestry of riches – a portrait of magnitude and grandeur, both mystical and alluring. The waft of incense, rich woods of palisander and cedar, and sensual tonka bean diffuses perfectly to envelop its wearer in pure, abundant luxury.

A statement of power and confidence.

$115 | 75 ml.

La Myrrhe
Serge Lutens

The third gift of the Magi is the mysterious myrrh. Excised from the trunk of a small, thorny tree that grows in the arid and rocky North African soil, Myrrh was a staple in ancient ritual and healing for thousands of years. At times throughout ancient history, when its sources became even more scarce than normal, its value surpassed that of gold. The sweet, pungent smell of myrrh has no equal.

In the Fragrance world, the exclusive parfums of Serge Lutens held at the Palais Royal Shiseido in Paris are, for American fragrance lovers, about as rare and precious as Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh, for they are obtainable only in person. In a way, I’ve saved the best for last. Serge Lutens La Myrrhe is hardly attainable for any non-European who doesn’t hold a round-trip ticket to Paris. But should any fragrance lover find themself in Paris with only time for 1 perfume pilgrimage, (God forbid) – they need look no further than the Palais Royal.

€125 | 75 ml.

Available exclusively to European residents online at Serge Lutens, or in person at the Palais Royal Shiseido.

3 legendary gifts.

3 incredible fragrances.

3 reasons to indulge and pamper.
