INDIESCENTS.COM

Indiescents is a new venture that Franco Wright and Adam Eastwood from Luckyscent started to focus on smaller, independent perfume brands, and is an entirely separate business from Luckyscent. The concept for indiescents.com is to provide an engaging marketplace for the growing number of emerging perfumes brands. The perfumes that are available are typically described as artisan, hand crafted, and exclusive limited editions. Another unique aspect of indiescents.com is that most of the offerings will be priced between $40 and $120.

Tauer Perfumes NEW COLOGNE DU MAGHREB

WINNERS ARE: Michael S, Brandon Gallimore and Jeremy Clark
Contest now closed.

The Cologne du Maghreb is hand crafted and created in the traditional way of cologne making: With all natural and all botanical raw materials only. Essential oils, absolutes, resins and love find their way into this Cologne. Not more, not less. When asked why he adds only naturals into his colognes, Tauer replies "because there is no need for anything else!"

Like all colognes, the Cologne du Maghreb lives in the moment, and is made to last a short while, bright and fresh like the morning sun rising over a citrus garden in Sicily. The Cologne du Maghreb builds on the finest grade of Bergamot and lemon essential oils, combined with other carefully selected citrus treasures, such as luxurious neroli oil, the steam distilled essential oil of orange blossoms. Some notes last longer than the classical citrus chord. These are for instance Moroccan cedar wood from the high Atlas, cistus ladaniferus balms, or the warm orange blossom absolute. These notes add a twist to an otherwise classical cologne construction.  Lavender and rosemary essential oils build a herbaceous contrast to the fresh airy citrus choir and join rose absolute, rose essential oil and clary sage, bringing in a green ambery floral line and adding depth and character.

Andy Tauer on Indiescents.com:

When I visited the global headquarter of niche perfumery at Brea Ave. in Los Angeles the other day, Luckyscent, I got a chance to inspect the shelves of a new venture, called Indiescents.com, too. This marketplace, like an incubator, is home to many emerging, artisanal brands and to a large number of perfumes that are hand-crafted, limited, and unique.

Going through these fragrances, smelling this universe of truly inspired and all unique creations, I said to Franco Wright, its curator: „Franco, I would be proud to see a flacon of the Cologne du Maghreb in these shelves“. "Sure thing“, he replied, "It will do well and have nice company there. We would love to see a tauer there, too.”

Thus, it is with great pride that I offer the Cologne du Maghreb at Indiescents.com. To start, I filled just a few hundred flacons, with my cologne that is natural and all botanical, referencing the colognes of 200 years ago. The flacon is simple; it is basically my former flacon that I used for many years. In a sense, I go back in time, celebrating my beginning with all natural, all botanical perfumery.

I sure feel happy and proud to offer my Cologne du Maghreb at indiescents.com- Andy Tauer
